We held our Tree of Light early in December and took the lights down on the last day of December in 2015. It was a great success as a fundraiser, and as a community service. Many people supported the event with donations and with their visits to the tree and the opening ceremony. It is a truly special evening, and quite emotional to see the number of people who have been touched by terminal illness all still living life strongly. The kids run around with brightly colored swords and head gear and the odd candle. Parents on picnic blankets with candles and a glass of wine soaking up the amazing atmosphere!
Remembering that we at Hospice place a significant value on LIFE as opposed to death, it is our privilege to host the community in this remembrance of lives well lived. Thank you all for your support for this and all projects for the year, we look forward to a 2016 filled with compassion, love and life and wish all fan’s the same!
